NZSSDS’s holdings comprise 20 survey data sets, including many from the New Zealand Election Study [1], three-yearly since 1990 as well as various regional election/voting surveys from the ’70s and ’80s.
Also available are data from the Survey of Adult Oral Health from 1976, the New Zealand Partner Relations Survey from 1991 and the Waikato Medical Care Survey (WaiMedCa) from 1991.
Metadata and variable summaries are freely viewable; online analysis and data set downloads require registration with NZSSDS and the filling out of forms. See Accessing Data [2] for more information.
Metadata reporting in NZSSDS uses a reduced set of fields based upon the Data Documentation Initiative [3] version 2 system (DDI 2.0, built into Nesstar, likely to be updated to DDI 3 in due course).
