Data Holdings
The NZSSDS holdings include many data sets from the New Zealand Election Study, three-yearly since 1990 as well as various regional election/voting surveys from the 1970s and ’80s.
Available under the Health category are data from the Survey of Adult Oral Health, 1976, the New Zealand Partner Relations Survey, 1991, several data sets from the Waikato Medical Care Survey (WaiMedCa), 1991 and the National Primary Medical Care Survey (NatMedCa), 2001/2, and also the New Zealand Quality of Healthcare Study, 1999.
Data sets from the International Social Survey Programme are also available, for the surveys conducted in New Zealand, 1991-2009.
Metadata and one-way variable summaries are freely viewable; online analysis and data set downloads require registration with NZSSDS and the filling out of forms, and for some of the data sets further restrictions are in place. See Accessing Data for more information.
Metadata reporting in NZSSDS uses a reduced set of fields based upon the Data Documentation Initiative version 2 system (DDI 2.0, built into Nesstar, likely to be updated to DDI 3 in due course).
