Depositing Data
NZSSDS’s data holdings come from associates in the social sciences who realise the benefits of having their data and metadata stored in “future-proof” formats, as well as those of sharing their data to some degree. We are always interested in acquiring new survey data and/or metadata, with these concepts in mind.
What data are of interest?
NZSSDS is primarily interested in well documented survey data sets from social science fields for inclusion in its catalogues. Poll data and other metadata that are usually not readily available are also of interest, again at least for the sake of storing information that might otherwise be lost to history.
How do I deposit data?
NZSSDS is now ready to receive data deposit requests. Information to start you off can be downloaded from the pane to the right. This includes overall instructions, a licence agreement, and a checklist for supplied materials. If you would like to deposit data with NZSSDS, we ask that you first get in touch with us, so that we can make the process run as smoothly as possible.
